Terms and ConditionsBooking confirmations
Your selected date may be tentatively held for two weeks. After two weeks a deposit of $550 is required to secure the date for packages or room hire to be paid. Following receipt of deposit a confirmation letter will be sent together with a function agreement form. The booking process is not finalised until the filled out function agreement form has been returned.
Payments
50% of the total food cost is due one month before the function. The final 50% of total food cost is due one week before the function. The balance of beverage and miscellaneous charges will be finalised at conclusion of the function. All deposits must be direct electronic deposit, cheque or cash.
Cancellation
Any booking cancelled with-in three months of the booked date incurs loss of full deposit. Total deposits (initial deposit and food deposits) will be retained for any booking cancelled within one month of function date. Zippo's reserves the right to cancel the booking if:
- The restaurant or any part of it is closed due to circumstances beyond the restaurant control.
- If the client becomes insolvent or bankrupt.
- If the function may prejudice the reputation of the restaurant.
- If deposits have not been paid by the due date.
Final numbers
Guaranteed guest numbers are required 1 week prior to the event. This will be the minimum number of guests charged for.
Timing
Lunch weddings
Monday – Saturday. Guests may arrive at 12 midday for cocktails. Guests seated by 1:00pm at the latest. Bar closed and music concludes at 5:00pm sharp. Guests to leave no later than 5:15pm.
Dinner weddings
Monday – Saturday. Guests may arrive at 6:00pm for cocktails. Guests seated by 7:00pm at the latest. Bar closes and music concludes at 11:45pm sharp. Guests to leave no later than 12:15am.
Sunday
Guests may arrive at 6:oopm for cocktails. Guests seated by 7:00pm at the latest. Bar closes and music concludes at 10:30pm sharp. Guests to leave no later than 11:00pm.
Music
As Zippo's is in a residential area there are certain noise level restrictions that must be adhered to. Any music played on the terrace must be non-amplified only.
BYO
As Zippo's is fully licensed, function organisers are not permitted to supply their own food or beverage.
Prices
Are based on current costs and are subject to change without notice to meet increases as they may arise. All prices are inclusive of the goods and services tax liability. Please anticipate an additional 5% annual increase effective September 1st each year.
Responsibility
Damaged sustained to any of Zippo's property by guests, client or contractors is the responsibility of the function organiser. Zippo's does not accept any responsibility for damage or loss of property left during the course of, or after the function. Zippo's reserves the right to exclude or remove any undesirable persons from the function or the premises without liability.
Responsible service of alcohol
All staff at Zippo's have undergone responsible service of alcohol training. Zippo's will stop serving any guest who is drunk, disorderly, violent or under eighteen and the guest will immediately be asked to leave.
Last drinks
Zippo's is not permitted to serve alcohol after 11:45pm Monday – Saturday and 10:00pm on Sundays.
